Artist's Comments

Okay. Something a little different from me. This is a photo of an oil painting that I did quite a few years back. Actually it's so old it's still got my maiden name on it! :giggle:

I guess that wanted to prove that I can do something other than Digital Artworks and that I do have a small amount of artistic talent

It was one of my first paintings that I ever did and it looks surprisingly good from a distance. Up close you can see where I've played with it a bit too much and the paint has become 'muddy'. For some reason I found it hard to whack a good layer of paint on. I'd tend to stretch my paint too far, but I guess it's something to be overcome in time.

So yeah! There it is :D

:D Thanks so much. Yeah, it really looks quite nice from a distance LOL! The frame makes it too :D
this painting has such a warmth and peaceful feeling, I love it! I didnt know you were a painter (I just thought you made saucy book covers!)
LOL! Well, I wouldn't consider myself a painter ;) I did do that when I was taking an oil painting class. Unfortunately I never continued with it. Life got in the way. Plus I didn't have the space to set myself up at home. One day I'll have my own studio (shed/room) and I'll get back into it :D
